Card a312:- 8x8 inch square card edged with Distress Ink 'Tumbled Glass' and Blue Promarkers. Take Spellbinders Nestabilities LF-111 'Grand Scalloped Oval' and place in the centre of the card and EMBOSS only. Leave the die in situ and blend over with the 'Tumbled Glass'. Using Spellbinders Nestabilities LF-110 'Grand Oval', cut and emboss, remove from the die and blend over with the Distress Ink. Once dry glue into place . Cut and colour the Cottage Cutz 'Santa's Washing Line'. Assemble and glue into position. Using Martha Stewart 'waste' snowflakes, glue randomly over the card and cover with 'Glamour Dust'. Add message mat, ribbon and peel off message.

Card a306:- 6x6 inch cards edged with Distress Ink 'Peeled Paint'. Using Our Daily Bread 'Simple Things' stamp and die cut the image 3 times. Now reverse stamp and die cut the image twice. This might sound impossible, however if you use the template to line up the reversed image and 'poke' holes through the registration points (holes), turn the card over and use these same holes to line up you template, you will have success. Use a light water colour technique to highlight the details of the stamp. Make a mat and edge with the 'Peeled Paint'. Arrange the die cut images around the card. Stamp the bee. Make a message mat using Spellbinders Nestabilities S5-027 'Labels 21'. Stamp message in 'Peeled Paint'

Card a310:- 8x8 inch Card edged with 'Black' Promarkers. Use Our Daily Bread 'Mother's Day' Stamp set & 'Poppy' Die to stamp and die cut the Poppy. Colour with Promarkers. Use Spellbinders S5-022 'Labels Ten' to make a mat. Die cut the Memory Box 'Valerian Flourish' Style: 98196 x4 out of white card stock. Make a mat 7x71/2 inches out of black card stock. Add Sentiment and co-ordinating ribbon.

Card a325:-7 inch square card, edged with a 'Black' Promarker. Using the Gourmet Coveralls 'Marbled Paper' CVA04 stamp and Versamark Ink Pad, stamp and emboss with Black embossing powder onto Black card stock. Once cool use mica powders with water or mica paints to colour over the image. Using Memory Box 'Fringe Circle' style no.98268, die cut from black card and paint with the mica. Once dry use Versamark and clear embossing powder x3 to give a deep 'tripple thick' enamel finish. Using the Memory box 'Pristine Border' style no.98131, die cut from black card and colour with the mica. Take the Cottage Cutz 'Flourish Tree' and die cut from black card. Use only the tree, colour with the mica.

Card a323:-7 inch square card. Take the Gourmet Coveralls 'Bead Curtain' CVA01 and Versamark Ink Pad and stamp and emboss with silver embossing powder. Once cool trim and make a mat out of silver mirri card. Using Spellbinders Nestabilities S4-114 Standard Circles Large, S4-116 Standard Circles Small , S4-126 Classic Squares Large and S4-128 Classic Squares small, die cut several sizes in white card and mirri card. Use the squares to cut shapes out of the silver circles and mat them onto white card. Cut circles out of the centre of the silver circles and mat them directly onto the card. Add Peel Off message

Card a322:-8x8 inch card edged with 'Pink Carnation' Promarkers. Using K&Co 12x12 Seasonal paper pad, valentine section make a mat. Take these papers and the Memory Box 'Woodrow Rosette', style no.98250, 'Gothic Rosette', style no.98249 and 'Fringe Border' style no.98266 and die cut and assemble. Using the Memory Box Die 'Serafina Heart' style no.98278 and 'Cupid Heart' 98281 die cut and glue together. Use the 'Cupid Heart' die to draw around to make a mat. Take some white card stock and the Cheery Lynne 'Fanciful Flourish' and die cut x4. Use the K&Co papers to die cut Cheery Lynne 'Country Girl'. Assemble the card, use waste hearts, from the Spellbinders 'Heart Squares' square to decorate.

Card a321:-7 inch square card edged with 'Lilac' Promarkers. Using the Gourmet Coveralls 'Flyaway' CVA03 Stamp and Versamark Ink pad, stamp and emboss with clear embossing powder x2. Once cool blend over with Brilliance Pearlescent Inks, 'Sky Blue', 'Orchid' and 'Purple'. Take a tag and ink part of the stamp with Versamark and emboss with Black embossing powder. Stamp and emboss the section with the focal butterfly in again and cut out. Using Memory box 'Gothic Rosette' Style no.98249 and the 2nd sheet of stamped, embossed and blended card, die cut and assemble the Rosette. Add co-ordinating ribbon and peel off message

Card a320:-71/2 inch Square card, edged with 'Black' Promarkers. Using Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and the Gourmet Coveralls 'Garland Damask' CVA06 stamp, stamp the background. Once dry, trim to size and edge with 'Black' Promarkers. Using Spellbinders Shapeabilities S5-053 'Bird Sanctuary' Die cut x2, once in black card and again in white. (If you use two pieces of black card together the die will not cut all the way through the 2nd layer, giving you a template to lay your white pieces of card onto.) Place the black, completely cut birdcage onto the not cut through birdcage and insert as many or as few of the white piece. Die cut x6 the Cheery Lynne 'minature roses' B152, x3 in white card and x3 in black. Make up the roses. Using Cheery Lynne 'Fanciful Flourish' Die cut x4 in black card stock.

Card a319:-5x7 inch card, with a black mat. Using the Gourmet Silhouette Stamp, and Memento 'Tuxedo Black' Stamp the image in the centre of a piece of card, large enough to then die cut. Once dry using Spellbinders Nestabilities S4-116 'Classic Ovals Large', centre and die cut the image. Take the largest Die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities S4-314 'Lacey Ovals' and some black card, die cut and emboss. Using the Gourmet Coveralls 'Chicken Wire' CVA05 stamp and the 'Tuxedo Black', stamp the background. Once dry, trim to size and layer up. Add co-ordinating ribbon

This slideshow includes over 100 card samples by past and present designers for Our Daily Bread designs. Though all of the cards may not be considered "Clean and Simple" to all crafters, they are all simple designs with minimal embellishments and layers.

The definition of "Clean and Simple" will vary depending on the person with whom you are speaking. Most view Clean and Simple as lots of open space, white or neutral colors, very few layers, and very few embellishments. Others believe that if you spend very little time or it is very simple to create, it's Clean and Simple. In the slideshow below, you will see many variations and styles....some are very clean and open, some let the designer paper do the talking, and some focus on a simple die cut or embellishment...... there is something for everyone here!! CARD A284

Card a284:- Take a sheet of A4 card and score at 3 inches both sides to make a gate fold card. Trim the card so that it is the height of the Spellbinders Edgeabilitiy. Using E8-002 'Classic Bracket' (Edge Only), cut and emboss the edge of the card. Turn and line up the second edge and cut and emboss. Using Our Daily Bread 'Frienship' Stamp set and using Versamark, stamp the butterfly down one side of the gate fold. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder and apply even heat. Repeat for the other gate fold. Once cool Blend over with Brilliance 'Aurora' Triple pigment Ink Pad. Squish some ink onto a glass cutting mat or craft sheet, rub blending foam into the three colours to blend them, then blend over the embossed images. Using Our Daily Bread 'Vine Borders' Stamp Set, stamp and emboss the frame. Once cool, cut around the frame and colour with the blend of inks.

Card a283:- 6x6 inch Square Card edged with 'Vintage Photo' Distress Ink. Using Our Daily Bread 'Friendship' Stamp set, stamp the butterflies in 'Vintage Photo'. Using Our Daily Bread' 'Eternity' Stamp set, stamp the small scroll in the corners, From the same set, stamp the frame with 'Vintage Photo' and once dry cut it out. Blend with 'Vintage Photo and stamp Sentiment from same stamp set.

Card a281:- Take an A6 card and cut 1 3/4 inches off the height to make a square 4 1/8 Easel card. Use Cottage Cuts 'Garden Shed' Die. Cut, colour and assemble all the pieces. Trim 1/4 of an inch off of the cut off piece, from the A6 card, to make the Buffer.

Card a280:- A small notelet card made using Our Daily Bread 'Butterfly Branch' Die and 'Faith' Stamp set, with Nestabilities Classic Oval Dies. This card was made by taking an A3 sheet of card and scoring & flding at 5 7/8, 5 1/2 and 2 1/2 inches. The height of this card is 2 7/8. I used my Clear Oyster Plate, with my Grand Calibur, to choose where to cut the die; ensuring that there was enough card, approximately 1/4 inch, left for the hinge. I then stamped, cut and coloured the die again and placed it over the previously die cut flap. I used Distress Inks 'Tumbled Glass' and 'Evergreen Bough'.
